The last month of the year 2014 has passed and the year has thereby come to an end. I would like to let you guys know how I am doing each month, therefore i’m writing an article with an update on which dividends I received. The reason why I am posting this article is because I want everyone to see my month-to-month progress on how dividend growth investing is the best way to earn a high passive income. You cant really argue the success of long-term dividend growth investing when you see the dividend income rising over time and that my expenses sooner or later are all being covered by this passive income.
For me it was a crazy year as I had a lot of expenses as I had to buy another used car because my car broke down and it already had too many kilometers. So it wasn’t worth it for fixing. On top of that there were also lots of other costs because I am an home-owner. Looks great being an home-owner but it also means that if something is broke then it needs to be repaired. As I wasn’t really living in the apartment when I bought it in September 2013 until June 2014 as there were lots of things that needed to be made to make so we could live in it. Things like a new kitchen $2600 new bathroom $600. Even the toilet was like 40-50 years old and really needed to be replaced. As I did most of the work my own in my spare time next to my job, it took some time by the time it was June 2014 it was all finished.
Now as we’re on to a new year the year 2015 when things should really start kicking in, as Im done with lots of necessary expenses im finally able to start out in Februari.. If im lucky might even be this Januari itself to start off with my years first investments in Oil.
Hoping to inspire all of those that are either thinking about starting and those that aren’t financially independent yet by posting monthly dividend income reports. I made it easy to see by having it listed under “Dividend Income”
December 2014 dividends received
- American Realty Capital Properties Inc. (ARCP) – $ 0.32
Total amount of dividends received during the month December: $ 0.32
Yeah my last dividends from ARCP. They were payed the first week of December. Sold that company when the end of December was nearing as I was done with that company. It was a big soap opera and its not my thing anymore when it lost its fundamentals. I want to sleep well at night and that cant with this company. Until now my money isn’t working for me yet as an investment but that will be changing very soon.
